Amber Cumberland, a 21-year-old woman, gave birth to a baby of almost six kilograms in Aston (United Kingdom) when doctors thought she was going to have twins because of how her belly grew so much, according to 'Daily Mail '.

The newborn, who was named Emilia and who was born on April 16, has become the second-biggest girl born on British soil after the record set by a 6.3-kilo baby in 2012.

The mother had to have labor induced when she was more than two weeks late. The process was neither easy nor short; in fact, it lasted more than 20 hours and they had to perform an emergency caesarean section. But fortunately Emilia came into the world with "beautiful plump cheeks" that made her parents fall in love.

As stated in the aforementioned British newspaper, Cumberland gained more than 30 kilos during her pregnancy, which she later lost after giving birth, according to an interview given by the mother for the 'Daily Mail'. "The doctors thought they were twins during the pregnancy because it was very big, although we could only see one in the ultrasound," says the young woman, acknowledging that they came to reconsider that there could be another "hidden" baby.

Once the woman gave birth, none of the clothes that had been brought to the hospital for the newborn would fit. “But luckily we had spare 0-3 month clothes and the hospital staff had to find larger diapers in pediatrics,” Cumberland explains.
