Autumn-winter 2021/22 trends: which one to wear at each age from 20 to 60
The fashion trends of the season have already come down from the catwalks and are flooding the streets or hanging from the hangers of fashion firms. The options this season are the widest and it is impossible not to agree with at least one formula of style, garment, color or print.
However, the great density of trends that have left the catwalks can become overwhelming and as the famous saying goes, who covers a lot does not squeeze much. For this reason, it is always wise to analyze the dictates of the big firms and select only those that we like the most, fit with our style or favor. To make this arduous task somewhat easier, and although good style does not understand age, here is a small guide to choose an autumn-winter 2021/22 trend based on each age:
At 20: 'college preppy' trend
Uniform-style check blazers, varsity-style wool sweaters with initials, bomber jackets and caps have become essential autumn garments that share one of the most preppy aesthetic codes. This trend, although it can of course be applied at any age, in the most extreme way fits perfectly in the twenties.
Try a two-piece set consisting of a blazer or shirt, and plaid print shorts or skirt, and complete it with platform loafers, contrasting socks and accessories such as headbands or pearl jewellery.
At 30: metallic effect
Silver, gold, sequins and a lot of glitter have been one of the constants of the catwalks that propose it in all ways. From golden trench coats in the case of Chanel to jumpsuits in the case of Balmain. What is certain is that, after a year without thinking about festive fashion, now it's time to shine.
Despite its marked nocturnal character, this trend can be incorporated into the day to day in small doses, through, for example, at 30 a total black look that is elevated with metallic boots or a silver bag can be the uniform ideal to go to the office.
At 40: 'ski chic' trend
Padded, plush effect, sheepskin linings and mountain boots are the star garments of this trend that wants to take us back to mountain excursions, rescue the fashion of après ski and dream of the alpine landscape. At 40, it will bring a carefree touch to the style, especially if it is mixed with more sporty garments such as leggings or with classics such as jeans.
Bet above all on shearling coats, husky jackets and hyper-warm boots.
At 50: passion for tailoring
Let's be clear, tailoring should be in the closet at any age. The black blazer, for example, is a timeless basic from adolescence to the most mature ages, capable of lifting any formal or informal outfit.
This season, tailoring is carried out in a masculine key, in the most rounded way possible with suits made up of a jacket, trousers and a vest and completed with tailored coats or trench coats. As a final touch, high-heeled ankle boots or stilettos will shape the perfect look.
At 60: everything to the point
Knitwear is the trendiest fabric of the season. Beyond the ever-present sweaters and cardigans, knitwear is worn in a total look, with outfits made up of a jacket, top and pants or through knitted dresses that reach the feet. From the 60's, try incorporating a ribbed knit dress in your wardrobe, in black it is infallible.
Knitwear fits perfectly in a minimalist version, mixed together, and opting for pattern-free options.
