Villa Allende: at the beginning of the year they robbed a business

Taking advantage of the celebrations for the New Year, the criminals burst open the door of the premises called "Bilbao ropa", located on Rio de Janeiro Avenue corner Carrafa, in the city of Greater Córdoba, a few meters from the local Sports Center, and took a large amount of clothes.

According to the owner of the business, Mariana Zamboni (57), the robbery was recorded minutes before the arrival of 2022, when four subjects removed the padlocks from the bars that secured the business using pliers. Then, they forced them and then broke the window to enter.

They stole “100 t-shirts, 40 men's jeans, 60 women's jeans and 50 shorts, an entire rack with 100 women's t-shirts, 40 dresses. They loaded all the merchandise in consortium bags”, says the owner.

The robbery was recorded in the security cameras stationed in front of the store, and in the images you can see four people, who were traveling on two motorcycles, in a commercial area with a lot of traffic.

"It took just over four minutes to complete the robbery," says Zamboni, who learned of the incident around 00:10 through a neighbor and notified the police.

“So far they have not identified any of the authors, much less recovered the merchandise. Just a shirt, a pair of pants and nine hangers. With my family we are very sad. They took years of effort,” she states.

And she adds: “We have been working for a long time to be able to serve our clients in the best possible way. And in four minutes they robbed us. They took more than 80 percent of the merchandise we had. It becomes very difficult to be an entrepreneur in this country when these situations occur.”

It is the second robbery that it suffers in the last weeks of 2021. On December 22, a woman entered the store and stole a large number of garments. The most outrageous thing -explains Zamboni- is that she was also stealing from other businesses in the city.

Although the merchants in the area notified the Police, providing data on the vehicle where the thief was traveling, they did nothing, he points out.

In addition, she states that there is no police presence in the area. “We feel unprotected, it looks like no man's land. Even the sector where my business is located is a very busy area”, emphasizes Zamboni.

Although she feels very sad for everything lost, the owner appreciates the support of the clients and neighbors. Many of them asked for her bank account to contribute money, to help them recover from the hard blow. “The account has the slogan of donating the symbolic value of a coffee (100 pesos). All help adds up and is very necessary, ”she says.
