El Niño Dios found help in the "Hospital de Peluches" in Venezuela

The illusion of the little ones with the arrival of the Children of God and the Three Kings is fed by the dream of gifts and presents, regarding Christmas and the Three Kings. But in a country in crisis like Venezuela, many families do not have the resources for it.

For this reason, the so-called “Toy Hospital” was created, as an initiative of a foundation located in Caracas that has been in charge, for about four years, of collecting, recycling, repairing, and giving away toys, stuffed animals, and educational games.

An idea crystallized by Lilian Gluck, a woman dedicated for years to education through teaching, who decided after the migration of her children, to donate what they left behind in Venezuela, something that not only brought a smile to the benefited, but also attracted new collaborators.

“I collected everything I had at home, toys and dolls, among other things. I washed them, fixed it and sent it to the Hospital Clínico Universitario (Caracas). Seeing that it was received with pleasure, I decided to continue with the project, which today after four years has 35 volunteers”, says Gluck.

Since 2017, they have delivered some 25,000 toys to low-income families, as well as children admitted to hospitals. Today they already have reach in 16 states of Venezuela, more than half of the country, achieving alliances with 72 foundations.

Their work extends throughout the year, but the Christmas season and the end of the year are the most special and the most laborious.
