Classes start at the end of February and many children and adolescents need everyone's help.
On February 21, classes begin in Mendoza and with that the purchase of supplies and overalls to start a new school year. But not all families face the same reality and for many buying these materials is extremely difficult and even impossible.
For this reason, young people from Tunuyán launched a solidarity campaign to reach the sectors that need it most and so that the boys can start a new year in the most optimal way. In this sense, they collect tools, overalls and backpacks, as new or in good condition as possible.
It is a group of volunteers that was born in 2020 due to the pandemic. It started with 10 boys and currently there are 30. Previously they have done collections of clothes, merchandise and shoes, and this year, for the first time, they will collect school supplies.
«The idea is to bring it closer to the people who need it most, knowing that Mendoza is one of the 2 provinces that start classes on February 21, a time when several, and I risk saying the majority, are still working in full harvest to pay for several of these expenses, "said Mariana, one of the volunteers, in dialogue with El Cuco Digital.
These young people serve in the Inmaculada Parish and Santo Cura Brochero de Vista Flores, but also provide assistance in eight more districts: Los Arboles, El Algarrobo, La Pintada, Agua Amarga, Colonia Las Rosas, Los Chacayes, Los Sauces and Villa Seca. where they also hold clothing fairs.
