Meet Magnolia, the first adopted baby to be a Gerber food brand ambassador
Gerber announced its newest brand ambassador for 2020, Magnolia Earl who has made history as the first adopted Gerber baby.
The baby was selected from more than 327,000 photos during the baby food company's annual search. The company said in a statement that Magnolia was chosen "because of her cheerful expression, her playful smile and her warm, captivating gaze."

“Magnolia has brought so much joy to everyone she meets. Her personality is beyond happiness and joy,” said Magnolia's mother, Courtney Earl.
Magnolia is a baby girl who was adopted a year ago, “on May 9, 2019 we received a call from the adoption agency saying that there was a pregnant mother who was in labor and wanted to talk to us. At that time we were on a trip and we had to get off the highway. We met her birth parents and a few hours later this sweet baby girl was born,” Courtney stated.

Courtney Earl added that she hopes Magnolia's story, as a new ambassador for Gerber, will emphasize adoption and "the different forms of families that exist."
Magnolia, who lives in California, will celebrate her first birthday this weekend. She has two sisters, Whitney, 12, and Charlotte, 8, who is also adopted.

Magnolia's selection comes after other historic Gerber winners, including a baby with Down syndrome in 2018 and the first baby of Hmong descent in 2019.
Magnolia and her family received $25,000, one year of free unlimited service from Verizon and $1,000 from Walmart as part of the prize.
